Accor Acquisition of Mantra Group Limited $1.2B
Dransfield acted as the lead external consultant to Accor on their $1.2B portfolio acquisition of over 130 properties (20,000 rooms) across Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. The assets were operated under a mix of model types - Management & Letting Rights, Leases, Management Agreements and Marketing Services Agreements.
NRMA Acquisition of RACT TAS Assets
Dransfield advised NRMA on the acquisition of 4 Tasmanian leisure assets. Our Role included: Commercial due diligence, creation of an investment/reposition strategy, detailed financial modelling and forecasting. Following the successful acquisition of the portfolio we were retained to assist with the execution of the repositioning strategy.
GAIA Retreat and Spa, Byron Bay
We were engaged to undertake acquisition due diligence for this boutique luxury asset with a market leading wellness component. The client subsequently acquired the asset.
Lizard Island
We were engaged to undertake acquisition due diligence for this leasehold boutique luxury island asset. The client subsequently acquired the head lease and were investigating acquisition of the operation sublease.
Queensland Island Mandate
We were engaged by several individual parties to explore Island acquisitions through Covid recovery period as domestic leisure segments rebound.
Novotel Gold Coast
We were engaged by the bidders to review the financial performance and forecasts for the hotel as part of the acquisition financial due diligence. Our role included: Selecting and negotiating terms with a new operator, creating and owning a special purpose vehicle to employ the hotel employees, to assist with managed investment compliance issues, closing the debt facility to fund acquisition and advising on the $20m renovation of rooms and public areas to the new operator's brand standards.
